Art Walks

All Summer Long

The first summer Art Walks held on June 12th and July 10th were a huge success!  Hundreds of people walked Main Street visiting art galleries and other participating businesses.  The NorthWestern Energy Bozeman Recovery office at 308 East Main Street is happy to feature the work of local photographer Travis Andersen. The remaining Art Walks are scheduled for:

Friday, September 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm

Come and join us for a glass of wine and refreshments. Also, keep an eye out for local musicians playing music as you stroll Main Street in Downtown Bozeman.


Music on Main

July and August

Every Thursday evening beginning July 2nd through August 20th from 6:30 to 8:30

The streets are closed for you to enjoy live music in beautiful Downtown Bozeman. Bring the kids from 6:30 to 7:30 for planned activities like Kenyon Noble’s Junior Carpenter program and educational games with the Museum of the Rockies and Children’s Museum. Grab a bite to eat from food vendors that will be on site or step into a few of the downtown stores that stay open late!


Lunch on the Lawn

July and August

Every Wednesday beginning July 8th through August 19th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

The Emerson Center for Arts and Culture’s summer Lunch on the Lawn series returns for its 7th year featuring a great lineup of local and regional musical acts to entertain during your lunch hour. Also enjoy a new noontime Farmers Market; joining the traditional food vendors, will be local farmers, Emerson artists, shop owners, crafters and gardeners.

Crazy Days

July 17th through July 19th

Visit your Downtown merchants as they take to the sidewalks with unbelievable sales on spring and summer merchandise. A great way to support our Downtown business owners and get crazy deals on some really great stuff!

Story Under the Stars

Every Friday night beginning August 14th through September 4th from 9:00 to 11:00 pm

Come and watch a movie under the stars on the lawn of Bozeman’s historic Story Mansion!  This four-week outdoor film series will be produced in cooperation with the Bozeman Film Festival, and locally produced short subject films will precede each evening’s feature film.  Picnic boxes, popcorn and drinks prepared and sold by local restaurants will be available for sale.  Bring a blanket and enjoy a romantic evening under the stars, or bring the kids for some family fun as we start a new Bozeman tradition.

Cruisin’ on Main” Annual Car Show

Sunday, August 16th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

The annual car show is located on Main Street between Black and Rouse Avenues. Car enthusiasts are invited to enter their vehicles in the show – all classes are welcome! You may pre-register or register the day of the show. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 cars to register and trophies will be awarded in all classes including Best of Show.


Bite of Bozeman

Wednesday, August 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm

A part of the Sweet Pea Festival, the annual Bite of Bozeman provides you the opportunity to dine right on Main Street with your friends and family!  Enjoy fine cuisine by over 30 local restaurants and listen to great local bands.


Sweet Pea – A Festival of the Arts

August 7th through August 9th

The Sweet Pea Festival has been a Bozeman tradition for over thirty years. Held at Lindley Park, spend the entire weekend enjoying a wonderful variety of music, dance, and theatrical performances. There are children's art workshops, arts and crafts vendors and great festival food.  Check out those tater pigs!


Bowl for Kids Sake

Friday, September 18th: 2 or 4pm

Saturday, September 26th: noon, 2, 4, or 6pm
Sunday, September 27th: noon or 2pm

Held at The Bowl downtown at 414 East Babcock, this event is Gallatin County’s largest community fundraiser.  Big Brothers Big Sisters serves over 500 children in our local area every year providing them with a variety of one-to-one mentoring programs. With an exploding population and the growing pressures that are put on our youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters is more relevant today then ever.  Over 70% of BBBS of Gallatin County's operating revenue comes from major fundraisers, like Bowl for Kid's Sake.

HATCHfest

October 1st  through October 4th

The mission of HATCH is to provide mentorship, education, inspiration, and recognition to the next generation of creative innovators. HATCHfest is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. This four-day event showcases world premier films, music and art with featured panel discussions and workshops in film, music, design, writing and architecture.


MSU Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade

Friday, October 9th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday, October 10th at 10:00 am

Stake out a prime spot early to join in the celebration of this long-lasting tradition on Downtown Bozeman’s Main Street. The homecoming parade starts at 10am during the Homecoming Weekend in October with the game following at 2PM at the MSU stadium.


Downtown Trick or Treat

Saturday, October 31st from 3:00 to 6:00 pm

Join us downtown for a spooktacular, safe evening of traditional trick or treating. The kids will enjoy gathering goodies at over 75 businesses. Be sure to stop in at the Downtown Visitor’s Center at 224 East Main Street  for a hot drinks and other goodies!


Christmas Stroll

Saturday, December 5th from 4:30 to 7:30pm

Be a part of Downtown Bozeman’s greatest holiday tradition!  Santa Claus works his way from the Emerson Cultural Center down Main Street, singing Christmas carols and lighting the downtown holiday lights with more than 6,000 people in tow as Bozeman's annual Christmas Stroll gets people into the holiday spirit. Enjoy horse drawn wagon rides, pictures with Santa, entertainment, holiday treats and much more!


Downtown Holiday Shopping Event

Friday, December 18th and Saturday, December 19th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Come enjoy a traditional downtown holiday shopping experience, and get your shopping done without all the stress. Stroll Downtown Bozeman and while you are finding your gifts you will be treated to carolers, a visit with Santa and you may even win $1500 in Downtown Dollars! There will also be free childcare available along with raffles, hot drinks located at a variety of the businesses, and of course the beautiful scene of Main Street’s Christmas lights and decorations along the way.
